Justin Allgaier won the Sports Illustrated Resorts 250 at Nashville by 1.403 seconds over Brent Crews — his first win of the 2026 season — while Jesse Love led 88 laps and finished 16th after concerns about a loose wheel cost him the lead late.

What Happened
Love led from the jump and was dominant through Stage 1. He built a 2.544-second gap by lap 15, extended it to 5.151 seconds by lap 36 as he worked through lapped traffic. He won Stage 1 at lap 45. The stage win was never seriously in doubt.
The pit cycle off Stage 1 put Allgaier second behind Love on the restart at lap 49. At lap 55, Allgaier looked inside Love on the backstretch and cleared for the lead. The two traded the front through Stage 2 — Love going high in turn 3 on lap 89 to let Allgaier back inside, then getting loose between turns 1-2 on lap 90 and losing the spot cleanly. Allgaier won Stage 2.
After the lap 100 restart — the only other caution of the race — Love led again from the inside and cleared. But at lap 112, Love reported concerns about a possible loose wheel. His lead decreased from 2.515 seconds to 0.504 in a handful of laps. His team pitted him at lap 120 for tires in a 30-second stop that dropped him to 16th. He never recovered the track position. Allgaier — who pitted at lap 144 under green — came out in clean air and drove away. Crews, who had been quietly running in the top five for most of the race, finished second. Allgaier won by 1.403.

Allgaier finally wins. After leading 71 laps at Dover and finishing second, leading 37 at Charlotte and finishing 29th, the conversion that had been building all season finally came through at Nashville. He led 50 laps, won a stage, and had enough car in Stage 3 to drive away from everyone except the two drivers — Crews and Sawalich — who were legitimately fast all night.
The Allgaier story is the headline, but the Crews result might be the more significant one going forward. Brent Crews — starting 33rd — led 45 laps and finished second in a 188-lap race at a track where experience and track position usually matter. He moved from 33rd to the front of the lead group and nearly won. For a young full-time driver in the Xfinity Series, that kind of result at a concrete intermediate against the field that was here changes his standing in the championship conversation.
Love’s 88 laps led and 16th-place finish is the counterpoint to Allgaier’s season narrative. Allgaier has been the driver who leads laps and doesn’t win. Nashville gave Love a version of that same afternoon — and the loose wheel concern is what made it happen, not a mistake or a bad car. The result is in the books regardless.
Corey Day finishes sixth — no win, but a clean result. He still leads the series in wins with two. Allgaier’s Nashville win closes that gap to one win behind with the season’s second half ahead.
